Wakeboarding

From 2010 Cabin September

Labor Day Weekend, Nick and I went to our family cabin at Crescent Lake. Thursday night, our friends Brett and Julia came and stayed the night and we spent the next day on their boat. It was a lot of fun. I have basically lived on their boat all summer long. But it was fun this time with just us four and the two babes. Nick and I both owe all of our wakeboarding improvements to them.
Nick of course was a show off. He absolutely loves an audience. I was nervous about his knee, but I've already told him that we are not paying for any more knee surgeries in 2010. In his mind, he has mellowed it down, but if you can tell by the pictures, he's still a crazy person behind the boat.
And me, well, not so much. In fact, I have now figured out that I enjoy crossing the wake only to my front side, so that's all I do. In an attempt to be more daring this last weekend, however, I tried to catch some air. And I was successful! Nick informed me that I got about as much air as I do when I jump off the ground, but still, I was okay with it. It was so much fun, and now I am understanding more why Nick is such a daredevil behind the boat. I decided to post this proud moment via blog, so you have proof.

Nick is such a show off! Too bad we weren't there. We could have shown you how it's really done- "it" meaning getting dragged behind the boat as you fall on your face over and over.
