Baby Blessing

Life has been very very busy, so I'm a little bit behind on my posts. I will hopefully have a few more to come, because I have quite a few pictures.

Briz was blessed on June 28th in our ward in Salem. It was a little nuts, because we had just gotten home from Utah the Friday night before. And then directly after the blessing we were leaving to go to Black Butte for a Cottle Reunion. So we had one day to clean up and get everything ready. Luckily Nick and I have the best parents, so I ended up having very little to do :) In addition, to all of that, Nick and his Dad were trying to finish the huge deck that they just added on to our house (pictures to come soon).

But it ended up being a wonderful day. My father in law kept asking me when I was going to write out the blessing for Nick. Tempting as it was, Nick did such a good job on his own. It was so beautiful and powerful and made me feel so privileged to have this strong little girl. A few people have come up to Nick and I told us what a great blessing it was and that Briz has a lot of work to do in this life. I have had that impression as well. I already think she's talented :)

Nick's tie matched Briz' post blessing outfit.
This is her talking face. She's quite the chatterbox recently.

This is after she exploded all over Julia. When I changed her, she exploded again, and then some pee. It was fun.

Papa giving eskimo kisses.

Smiling in her sleep. The best.

The adoring Papa. He was complaining cause he hadn't been able to hold her as much as he would have liked. He's not very good at sharing.

Jaxon was a little nervous to hold her. But once he did, he loved it so much he offered to babysit her for only $2 an hour.

Jacci and Nick at the house.

The triplets. They are already my pre-determined babysitters.

Shae and Sydney.

Grandpa with Caleb.

Thomas with Briz. He's a natural.

Megan, MJ, Amy, and Michelle.

Crosby with her little cousin. I think she may, however, like her clothes more than the actual baby.

So peaceful . . . when she's sleeping.

Sisi and MJ

Grandpa Cottle, sitting on the floor. He's a sport, bum knee and all.

Nona and Briz.

The pic with the grandparents.

Four generations.

All the men. In the blessing, Nick discussed all of the strong priesthood holders in her life. But I think he may have felt obligated considering how many men were in the circle (not all of them are pictured here). I mean, its just common courtesy.

I think I probably said something that was just really funny.

Most of the clan. They were all such good sports to come. Church was at 9 a.m.! This is at our house after the blessing.

Our family. My hair is a different color because I dyed it (see next post for story about my scary hair experience).
