Vege Garden

I get pretty proud of myself over stupid things. One thing I get excited about is when I check something off my "To Do list". Pick up shirt off the ground. Check! Sometimes I'll write things down on a list and cross it off, just to boost my self esteem.

But one of my proudest moments of the summer (besides birthing a child), is growing my very first vegetable garden. It still is pretty sad looking compared to my neighbors, but hey, baby steps. I took pictures of my very first produce. But now, I have a ton more. I am currently growing tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, zuccini, peppers, and pumpkins.

Woohoo! A squash and a cucumber.

Behind me you can see some of my little garden. And for some reason I look ghostly white in this picture.
This is one of they many reasons I consider myself pretty nerdy. But I think its such an amazing thing to plant something in the ground and see it grow into something beautiful or edible. I am almost as proud of my rose bushes, but I thought I would spare you.

Oooh, you planted pumpkins? That is one thing I always wanted to grow. I am actually a horrible gardener, and I don't really enjoy it much, so I am in awe of people who do.

You inspire me...maybe someday I will plant something. Maybe I have to prove I can keep a plant alive before I am trusted with a baby. you did both in one summer- quite an accomplishment!

Yum! Nothing beats fresh produce from your garden. No running to the store!
