These last few days have been some hard ones but instead of continuing my streak of depressing posts I will write about things I am thankful for:
- my running shoes and just the ability to run at all, albeit very slowly
- the brizness who has upped her frequency of hugs and kisses
- chapstick and lotion because Utah is so freaking dry!
- Vince vaughn.
- the following music: cat stevens, bob marley, and Tracy chapman. They seem to always fit my mood, which admittedly goes up and down quite a bit.
- the Utah mountains with snow on them. Forgot how gorgeous they are. I will admit Utah CAN be pretty.
- candy, particularly hot tamales, which have given me consistent miniature doses of energy. And really what more nutritional value do I need in a day than some sporadic hot tamales?
- nice strangers. And i don't mean cheesy and peppy, just genuinely nice friendly people.
- questions about holland. Anytime I can talk about her I am glad.
- texting. Can't always handle phone conversations. Grateful for technology to let people know I care and am grateful, but still still allow me to be lazy and do things on my own timetable. I guess I should lump email in there too.
- and of course, the ever cliche but always true family and friends.

I am extremely slow and just learning about your loss. I am so sorry. I wish there was something I can do to help or take away from the pain you must be going through. I am so sorry I will continue to pray for you and your family. If there is ever anything I can do or you want someone to talk to Holland about I would love love love to hear all about your sweet angel. Im sorry again you are in our thoughts.
Sorry to keep commenting but I just check in on you guys a lot! I just wanted to second the thankful for chapstick thing. Since leaving Oregon and returning to DRY, DRY, DRY, and awful DRY, Colorado, I've had nothing but cracked knuckles, stuffy noses all night long, ithcy skin, the most horrible static hair ever, and no matter what I do, I never feel like I can drink enough water. Will said to me, and I saturate them with lotion, "Mom, I itch! We need to move out of our house because I itch here." Oh home sweet home. P.S. I'd love to sit with you for hours and hear about sweet Holland, anytime!

When I saw your list I thought about the episode on Friends when they all say something they are thankful for, and Ross says something about how crappy his divorces and evictions are, and Phoebe says, "And I didn't think you would have anything to be thankful for this year."
