There is a water park in Boise in I-84 and every time we drive to Utah we see it. This year I decided that since we didn't have any other trips this summer, we were going to make the most of our Utah trip and stop at the water park.
Nick got off work at 5, we came home and took off. We drove until about 2 a.m. (Utah time). We stopped at the Sandman hotel, which is literally right next to the water park. The girls woke up and were extremely excited about being in a hotel. It took about 20 minutes for everyone to settle down and go back to sleep. We made a bed for Wembley on the floor, and she wasn't happy about it but luckily was tired enough that she gave up after 5 minutes of crying. All of us slept in until 9 a.m.
Briz and Wembley loved watching cartoons in the morning(something that I never let them do). And Briz loved eating the continental breakfast. She said, "This is like a restaurant." Since breakfast is her favorite morning meal, she was pretty excited about all of the options for food. We got dressed, headed over to the waterpark. We were there from about 11 - 3:30 which was perfect. It was 110 degrees! So I'm not sure we could have stayed much longer.
We had so much fun. Wembley wasn't too sure about the waterslides and spraying at first, but quickly grew to love it. She also just loved walking around and climbing up on stuff.
Nick and I took turns between girls. Briz could go on almost all of the waterslides. She was about 2 inches too short to go on the big ones. Nick tried to sneak her on (and she was willing!), but they wouldn't let her.
I had a lot of fun just waiting at the bottom of the waterslides, watching them go down.
It was such a fun day. We were all pooped and ready to get back on the road. We pulled into Salt Lake about 9 p.m. It was perfect.
